Our interventional cardiology services include a range of procedures that can help diagnose and treat various heart conditions. From coronary angiography and angioplasty to coronary artery stenting and pacemaker implantation, we offer the latest and most advanced diagnoses and treatments to help you get back to a healthy, active life.

Angiography or cardiac catheterization:

A medical imaging technique used to visualize the heart’s blood vessels; the procedure involves injecting a contrast dye into the blood vessel, making the blood vessels visible to the X-ray or other imaging tests. The procedure is used for diagnosing heart conditions such as coronary artery disease, congenital heart defects, and heart valve problems.

Angioplasty:

The minimally invasive procedure treats narrowed or blocked arteries, angina, and acute myocardial infarction. The procedure involves guiding a catheter with a balloon at one end to the narrowed arteries. The balloon is expanded to widen the narrowed arteries and improve blood flow. A stent or small, metal mesh tube may also be placed in the artery to keep it open.

Pacemaker implantation:

Our interventional cardiologists also offer the implantation of a small device called a pacemaker into the chest to help regulate the heartbeat. The device is implanted to treat certain heart conditions, such as arrhythmias, bradycardia, and heart blocks. The pacemaker is a small electronic device connected to the heart with wires. The device sends electrical signals to the heart to help it beat in a regular and controlled manner.

Heart valve repair and replacement:

Our cardiologists use the latest, minimally invasive procedures to repair or replace damaged or diseased heart valves to restore normal blood flow through the heart. We offer minimally invasive valve repair and replacement procedures to eligible patients for minimal scarring and pain, faster recovery times, and shorter hospital stays.

Electrophysiology studies (EPS):

These studies evaluate the heart’s electrical systems and diagnose abnormal heart rhythms. During the EPS procedure, a thin, flexible tube called a catheter is inserted through a small incision in the arm or groin and guided to the heart. The electrodes at the end of the catheter can measure the heart’s electrical activities.

AICD implantation:

Automated Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD) is a small device implanted under the skin in the chest area to detect and stop arrhythmias or irregular heartbeat. The device continuously monitors the heartbeat and delivers an electrical shock to the heart if it detects an abnormal heart rhythm.

CRT device implantation:

CRT device implantation is another interventional cardiology procedure we offer to patients whose ventricles don't contract properly. In Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy, a small device is implanted in the chest area to aid the heart in synchronizing its contractions.
